Learn how to create entrancing and captivating photos of this unique arid region under any weather condition and during any season! Whether it is capturing golden light reflecting off the rock faces, long exposures of the roaring falls in flood and massive moving clouds, or Milky Way images over secret locations in Winter during the correct moon phase and galactic season.
Come capture breath-taking, magnificent and powerful landscape photography with me while exploring one of South Africa’s finest Arid Park locations at Augrabies Falls National Park, Augrabies, South-Africa in the Green Kalahari Region near Upington, – one of South Africa’s premier photography destinations. Also learn how to shoot on Nikon film cameras using Ilford black and white film which will be provided, and to develop the film yourself at the same weekend workshop experience.
The Khoi people called it “Aukoerebis”, or place of Great Noise, as this powerful flow of water is unleashed from rocky surroundings characterised by the 18km abyss of the Orange River Gorge.
Augrabies Falls is the sixth largest waterfall in the world.

Cancellation Policy
Only written cancellations will be accepted; please ensure you receive acknowledgment of cancellation from Craig Fouché Photography, once requested.
The Cancellation Fee is a percentage of the full accommodation account as follows:
- Up to 30 days prior to arrival: 5% Cancellation Fee
- 29 – 21 days prior to arrival: 25% Cancellation Fee.
- 20 – 1 days prior to arrival: 75% Cancellation Fee.
- Please note that a 100% Cancellation Fee will be charged should you cancel on the arrival date.

I am a Western Cape Winelands photographer based in South Africa, photographing locally and internationally. I am a registered NPS (Nikon Professional Services) member, a contributor to Nikon South Africa’s social media pages and website. I photograph a broad variety of genres, using film – 35mm, 120, 127 and 4×5″, 5×7″ & 8×10″ format, as well as digital medium and, are very passionate about my work.
My work has been published several times in SA4x4, HIGH LIFE (British Airways Magazine), Getaway Magazine, Wildside Magazine and Weg!/go! Magazine. I finished as a Top Ten finalist in the 2016 Getaway Magazine Gallery Competition, finishing with Highly Commended. The South-African national news broadcaster eNCA has also made use of video footage that I have produced.
